During a Samsung CES Keynote, there was a Microsoft presence in the form of what is being called IllumiRoom. Though it is still in development and just an overall awesome idea, the video shows some pretty cool stuff.
Running off of the Kinect and a projector, you gain some awesome added benefits to your gaming. It expands your gaming experience outside of your television by adding lights and some ambiance to your surroundings.
This is pretty cool in theory, and the idea is awesome, but only those with a dedicated game room, or entertainment room would come to use this. It won’t see the retail market any time soon, that’s for sure.
