My journey three days into Bravely Default
Being a grown up with responsibilities can definitely take a toll on time which is usually used for gaming. Boy do I miss my hardcore days when I can spend 16-18 hours a day gaming. *sigh* What typically took me one day to achieve in gaming now takes me three days!
I try my best to keep playing but I can’t help but passing out while playing. I’m not trying to imply that the story itself is what’s causing my 3DS XL to be drowning in DRUL because the plots are starting to get interesting. For a non-mature game, this does involve a lot of death right off the bat. Family, villages and sheep; it matters not. The darkness of humanity is brought to light in this game. Death, oppression, cheating, lies and the overall pwnage this game gives off if you don’t select the appropriate difficulty level is what you’ll get, especially if you don’t read, trust me, you will get punished.
You just can’t just breeze through this game. You will have to level up and become a scavenger for all the treasure chests this game has to offer. Items are what makes you successful in this game; oh and of course money. Big ticket items can go for as high as 200,000 PG. That’s hard to achieve when all you are averaging per battle is around 200 PG. At the same time, I guess I understand they don’t want the power of the character to spoil the game and the challenges it has to offer. Even in fantasy it goes to show that “THE STRUGGLE” (life) is real!
You have to work hard to get what you want even if it’s just a fantasy katana that will supposedly slay the gods.
