Bravely Default: 12 Days of being Brave

This game is big! So many features to make the development of the character a unique experience compared to other players. There is a total of 24 Jobs. I realize I haven’t even brought this up but it’s because this game does have a lot of content to cover. Jobs are learned by collecting Asterisks which are given after defeating certain bosses that represents the jobs. bravely-default-flying-fairyOf course these aren’t your typical jobs found in a job fair. Jobs are used for titling the characters assignments. For example you can have Knight, Mage, Monk, etc. This moment I’m only missing a few but I’m enjoying playing around with what I currently have. You can make some killer combinations with jobs. You first choose the primary which will have certain battle effects and controls your wardrobe. You can also assign a secondary to be able to use the different abilities of the other jobs without having to alter statistics. Yes, jobs do influence statistics and the development of characters. Similar to Pokemon, the characters have base points which can be manipulated by equipped items and the jobs they are assigned. Equipment stats themselves are altered depending on the compatibility they have with jobs. Something just doesn’t seem right with a pirate having a bow.

The combination between items, jobs, and abilities seem endless. Another thing which I haven’t shed light on is the support abilities. Support abilities are unlocked through the progression of the jobs. They can be as simple as making compatibilities of weapons “S” rank regardless of the job or as complex as making stats boost after certain scenarios. For example, if an ally gets KO’ed, Valkyries have the ability to boost their physical attacks. So much info to take in from a game but it’s very easy to grasp once you expose yourself to the system.4-bravely-default-logojpg

The story is put together nicely. The way they continue to add new plots to revolve around the bdrmain plot. I’m getting the feeling that the characters are all trying to identify themselves and their purpose in life. At first glance of the game you wouldn’t think that but once you get to know the characters they start to show how they are going through their own individual tragedies and overcoming them as a group. Working together is making them realize their placement in the story. How they can be useful using all of these skills they learn throughout this adventure. I have kept this story detailed in the outlines of the game but kept the story as brief as possible so that the gusto is still there. I will leave the rest of the entries to you guys. Let me know your struggles and opinions. Go on and share your experiences by submitting them through comments. I will provide my final feedback on DRULcast once I have completed the game, stay tuned.

Thanks for reading and don’t forget to keep on DRULING!

Juan was raised in a place where dysfunctional urban youth tainted the lives of those who were exposed to the drugs and the gunfire that lit the streets. In order to survive, he kept himself barricaded in his room, in the trenches of Nintendo and Sega. It’s how his passion developed for gaming and how the creative imagination took the driver’s seat. Gaming is an escape from the struggles of life and to express frustration. Just because you gain responsibilities as time progresses doesn’t mean you have to let go of gaming. Just adapt and evolve it to best suit your lifestyle and embrace the adventures that being a gamer brings. Stay posted and see what the product of the GAMING EVOLUTION can do.
