My journey into Black Ops 2 had many bumps along the way, from not wanting the game, to eventually finding a reason to actually get it. Turns out, it wasn’t that bad of a decision. The game over all has been fun when it works, and extremely rage worthy when it doesn’t. Mind you, I have only played about an hour of the Campaign, so I’ll get into that another time.
I’m stepping up and saying that this game, wont be reviewed, because every day I play it, I feel different. One day I’ll praise it, and the next I’ll hate it. The reason behind this is all depending on who you are playing with. There are times where I play with my friends and we are just dominating, then there are those days where we are getting annihilated. Reviewing a game simply based off its multiplayer wont be done!
That doesn’t mean that there aren’t some great additions to the game as highlighted on my video below, but like I said, it all depends on your play style. Personally I enjoy Free for All styled games, like my favorite, Gun Game. Then there are those who would rather compete with teams, I too enjoy this, but you would have to know the people your playing with very well and communicate in order to achieve victory. Otherwise you’ll end up tossing your controller through the screen.
With the amount of lag this game gets, it is just a matter of time before you start to rage. For this very reason, I think I have given up on normal multiplayer, and strictly play League when my friends are on. If they aren’t, I rather just play solo Party Games (Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Sticks & Stones) because that way I know that everyone is competing individually and it keeps it fair. Playing as a mercenary in this game will lead to defeat a good 80% of the time.
