Baron is an air flying combat game made simple by Dogmelon Games.
Scheduled to release on Xbox One and Steam later in 2019, Baron is an eight-player dog-fight where each of you chose a role of an animal fighter pilot, and dominate the skies by taking out your opponents.
Everyone starts off by selecting a type of aircraft, each with various speeds, defenses, and offensive attributes. Then a special skill is selected, and off to the runway we go! Everyone starts off on the bottom of the level (the runway) and each person takes off on their own when they need to, this is all part of the strategy, if you take off at the same time, everyone can start shooting at the same time as well and damage will be done. If you hesitate a little, you’ll be able to ignore taking that damage early on. However, if you wait too much, then those already in the air will be able to damage you as you are slower on the ground.
There is quite a bit of strategy involved in the game but it is all determined by your ability to maneuver your aircraft and proper timing on using your skills. If you fly straight up you can stall your plane, only to be used to evade enemy fire at a faster rate.
Overall an easy game to pick up, but a difficult one to master. This is definitely a must-have for anyone who enjoys party games. They are quick rounds, and fun when everyone starts to understand what they are doing.
