Some Crysis fans were bitter last month when the 360 got an exclusive Crysis 2 multiplayer demo. Hype ensued and downloads of the 360 exclusive demo topped out at 1.7 million. However, everything wasn’t peachy. The multiplayer only demo was unplayable by anyone connected to XBL via WiFi, and there were various other reports of bugs and odd freezing issues. After a couple weeks, the multiplayer demo on the 360 ‘expired’ and is now being re-released in tandem with the PC demo. Crytek promises that this is the best demo yet of Crysis 2, and the 360 version is indeed revised from the one that released last month. So, head on over to EA’s official Crysis site to grab the PC demo, and check out marketplace.xbox.com for the revised 360 demo.
There is no mention of when the PS3 demo is arriving. EA has only said, “Coming Soon”.
Crysis 2 is launching for all platforms on March 22nd, 2011 in North America, and March 25th, 2011 in the UK.
