Gift Guide Day 3 from Mark V!

by on December 5, 2012

On the third day of our Holiday Gift Guide, we have another collection of PC titles from Mark V. Now even though not a resident of the DRUL HQ, he does frequently roams the halls providing feedback and support! For those who remember the DRULcast, he has also provided us with many hilarious episodes, and we’re planning on getting the podcast rolling again in the future!

Here are Mark’s must play/own games for this holiday season!

Goldeneye: Source

Based on one of the greatest First Person Shooters of all time, Goldeneye: Source captures the magic of the classic N64 title Goldeneye 007. This is a FREE Half-Life 2 Mod, all that is required is Source SDK Base 2007 (which comes with virtually every Source based game on Steam) and the mod, which can be found at http://www.moddb.com/mods/goldeneye-source

Red Alert 2: Yuri’s Revenge

By far one of my favorite games of all time. Sho220 introduced me to this game some years back, it has been a favorite of mine ever since. The gameplay, the graphics and the storyline complimented with great voice acting, are all amazing. Dare I say, better than Starcraft II?

Saints Row: The Third

This game was a serious mind f&%# for me. If you haven’t played any of the Saints Row games before, play this one! The storyline is insane, the gameplay is amazing and the replayability is spot on. Mvn’s GOTY 2011-infinity.

AirMech

This is a game I wasn’t too sure about at first. Once I played a few rounds and got a grasp on the gameplay, I couldn’t stop playing! By far, one of the best Free to Play games I’ve played in a long time (sorry, no love for you, Planetside 2.)

Need For Speed: Most Wanted (2012)

It’s not often I recommend a Need For Speed title, but I enjoyed this one. The career mode is challenging and the replay value will keep you coming back for more.

Looking through this list and seeing Yuri’s Revenge on it reminded me that the holiday seasons are all about those times spent with those you care about. I remember many sleepless nights playing Yuri with you guys, great times… specially the with Wall of Death strategy!

Thanks for your list Mark!
