Bastion was one of those games that I went into without really knowing what I was getting myself info. Luckily for me, it became one of my all time favorite games!

One day I signed onto Xbox Live and wondered, what else is out there, went to the latest releases and there was Bastion…an arcade title I had heard nothing but looked interesting enough for me to want to play the demo.

This became an instant purchase, I was hooked from the moment I started it. I normally hate when movies narrate because it feels like a cheap way to say what happened without taking initiative into showing me instead. It is a movie after all, show me instead of telling me. The beauty of Bastion is what it tells you as you uncover it, truly an experience that could only work when playing the game.

The music flows through every level wonderfully and also in great conjunction with the narrator whenever needed. The entire sound track is amazing but this song in particular hit me. It goes well with the environment and situation you’re placed in within the game. The lyrics themselves give away a lot of the story but damn does this make me want to re-play this game.
