Backtracking Hydrophobia

by Jack Wageron November 15, 2017
Rewind to PAX East 2010, truOZ is in attendance and I say that he HAS to play Hydrophobia. Something about this game caught my eye and made me think it would be awesome. I don't remember if Oz ever played it at PAX East 2010, but I did buy Hydrophobia. It didn't quite live up to the hype I gave it, then again I played it 5 years after its release.

Backtracking Alan Wake

by Jack Wageron January 28, 2016
Alan Wake was announced at E3 2005 for next-gen consoles and PC. 5 years later, Alan Wake launched exclusively on Xbox 360, followed by a PC release in 2012. Despite having a large budget, backing by Microsoft, and developed by Remedy Games (Max Payne), Alan Wake could not gain traction as a powerhouse franchise. But its story and main game mechanic will forever be why Alan Wake is one of the greatest games ever.

Backtracking Halo: CE Anniversary

by Jack Wageron September 11, 2014
Halo: Combat Evolved is the game responsible for putting Xbox on the map in 2001. Without Halo, I'm unsure how successful Xbox would've been. Despite Halo making Xbox what it was, I never cared about Halo: CE. Graphics are OK, story is mediocre, and there's only local multiplayer.

by Jack Wageron June 20, 2014
I don't like Disney movies. I don't like cartoons. I bought Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs solely for achievements. I expected it to be bad, except I enjoyed it. That's a lot of I's, but they're all true. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is an excellent game for all ages that encompasses an enjoyable platforming experience with an interesting story and of course, easy achievements :)

Backtracking Disney’s Bolt

by Jack Wageron May 2, 2014
Disney's Bolt... ugh, frustrating. It's a 'kid's game', any gamer should breeze right through it while experiencing a fun story, flashy graphics and overall a short game (4 hrs). Although, my expectations were everything this game is not. It's not bright but very dull colored, story is OK, and the game is insanely long. Very repetitive with sections that just drag on, not to mention numerous camera issues that make the entire experience more frustrating.
